We hope you had a lovely stay with us. If you did, then we'd really appreciate it if you could leave us a guest review in the visitor book, via email or on our online guestbook and give us (hopefully) 5 stars, and write a sentence or two about what you liked the best during your stay at Trysor Holiday Cottage.

Was it the comfy bed? Or the location? Or maybe it was the warm welcome you received? If you are unable to leave us 5 stars, please don't hesitate to contact us first to let us know why - you are key to helping our next guests to have a wonderful time and we have a suggestion box for your ideas...

We would love some holiday pics of your four legged friends enjoying Cardigan Bay during their stay at Trysor Holiday Cottage, which you are happy for us to share on our social media doggy hall of fame ....

Thank you so much, Joy

Hi we stayed for 4 nights and it was the most peaceful, comfy, clean stay we have had. A lovely coach House, so big and roomy, log burner in the front room, toasty warm, games and cards and dvds for a relaxing family night, good selection. Ruby and Bruce loved it, safe and secure for them to wander out of the conservatory and the front garden. Pembryn beach so close by, lovely clean beach with a cafe available called the plump tart. The beds are so comfortable and the bathroom has a huge bath and a super powerful shower. Everything was spotlessly clean,, even had doggy treats and marmalade and teabags supplied with our welcome pack, there is an App you can download with very useful information, maps, local places etc etc, came in very handy when deciding where to visit, the coach House is perfect for a relaxing time on your holiday, will recommend it to everyone. Thankyou so much came home a lot less stressed lol. Xxxx.

Julie, Matthew, Caroline, Ruby and Bruce. ,

We have stayed in a lot of places which say they are dog friendly only for them to be dog accommodating rather than dog welcoming. Trysor Holiday Cottage goes above and beyond to make it a special break for both 2 and 4 legged guests.

There was nothing we didn't need, everything had be thought off. Secure garden for the pupsters, blankets for sofas if you forget yours. Kitchen had everything you need, airfryer and slow cooker great additions!

Beds were super comfy and everything was clean and welcoming.

The area is beautiful. Lovely walks and beaches as well as some culture if that's what you are after. Plus the local farm shop has some lush produce and is a 5/10 minute walk away.

My working cocker is definitely a beach lover whilst my sprocker much more loving of the walks in the open so perfect for both.

We don't often return somewhere but would go back here in a heartbeat. Joy has made an amazingly welcome place for a holiday. I've already spread to word to family and friends.

Kate, Henry and Ted (+ Flo and Essie),

We had such a lovely stay at Trysor. The cottage was so well set up for our girls, 2 lurchers. The stair gate saved us having to set up our own which we take everywhere. We all loved lounging in the lovely warm conservatory, watching the weather. Cosy even when it was breezy outside. The front garden was very dog proof. The back wall perhaps a risk for the high jumper hounds out there, but we could section that off with the side gate.
We cooked meals, enjoyed the lovely local produce. The local Londis at the petrol station is fabulous, with local goodies as well as all the usual supermarket type fayre. Cherry picked, just up the road has lovely deli produce and Mediterranean specialities. Plus a lovely coffee shop, with cakes.
Beds and sofas were comfy. Wifi fast enough for work when needed.
All in all a lovely cottage, in a lovely area. Penbryn beach was gorgeous. Had a lovely swim.
Dogs enjoyed their holiday as much as we did.
Thank you Joy! One day we'll hope to return. And we don't often go back to the same place twice!

Emma Norton,

What a fabulous find. Lovely spacious and comfortable cottage. Nothing we needed that wasn’t provided. Beds were super comfortable. Secure garden for our girls too. Everything was so dog friendly. Joy was very helpful and accommodating. Always available to answer queries. Lovely area to explore with our fur babies. Would highly recommend.

Jane ,

My family and I spent Christmas here and it was just magical, Joy couldn’t have been more accommodating and her little welcome pack was the cutest, including local produce for the humans, doggie treats for 9 furry babies and a Christmas gift for little Archie my two 2 year old Nephew, was really a lovely touch. The coach house is beautifully done and very homely. Decorated for Christmas was a real home from home experience. The dogs loved it! Only 5 minute drive to the beach (you can walk but my four legged friends are only tiny) the most beautiful beach where we spent Boxing Day was just perfect, thank you Joy, would highly recommend for any dog parents looking for a great holiday x

Sophie leaver ,

We had such a lovely week at Trysor with our 4 pups who settled in straight away. We were all so at home there. The house is lovely & spacious, so much room. The bedrooms are big with super comfy beds. Joy is a lovely host & nothing is too much trouble. The jam that she left us was outta this world! We brought what was left of it home, no way was we leaving it! The area is beautiful with lovely sandy rugged beaches. We had a really peaceful time . When we got home, the dogs were clearly not impressed by the looks on their faces as they enjoyed it so much!
Thank you Joy

Joy & Nick Gunn,

We loved our long weekend away in Trysor Cottage with our puppy Daisy. It is a beautiful and spacious home and so doggy friendly. A touch of luxury, with a lovely welcome package for us and the pup! The location is especially peaceful, which made for a relaxing getaway. Loved sitting outside in evening, looking at the sunset. Really convenient for all the beaches and sights. Thank you, Joy 😊

Mr/Mrs Smith ,

Had the most fabulous week here. 4 adults, 1 toddler and 2 dogs. So spacious with large kitchen, dining room and living room. The beds were so comfortable. Everything you need, you will find in this cottage. Few beaches nearby we were spoilt for choice. Quiet location for a good rest. Thankyou joy for our grandaughters welcome birthday present and welcome tray of jams, tea, biscuits and lots of treats for the doggies. We will return. Xxx

Kevin & Siobhan Fisher ,

The house was lovely, large and spacious and spotlessly clean, the house is very well stocked with numerous household items, we enjoyed the thoughtful welcome pack provided and Joy was really helpful and on hand if you need anything. Penbryn National Trust Beach is only 4 minutes by car, was in our view the best beach in the area. It was unspoilt, lovely sandy beach that was dog friendly. We loved sitting in the cave at the far end at the end of the day with a bottle of fizz!! There are some brilliant dog walks around that area too, the coastal path is great and safe for the dogs. I sat on the cliff tops one morning watching dolphins out to sea.

Mrs J Wigan,

Our visit at Trysor Holiday Cottage was fantastic!
Joy is such a friendly and generous host, welcoming us with a small gift and then being available for any questions. The house was exactly as in the description. It had a large and very well equipped kitchen, a good dining area, great living room, spacious bedrooms with good storage for clothes and very comfortable beds. We can highly recommend a visit!

Cecilia Näsström Nilsson,

Our family of four plus grandparents and dog had such a wonderful time at Trysor cottage. The location is excellent - close enough to shops and local amenities - the local beach is gorgeous- we spent many days there.

The kitchen is very well stocked, appliances all worked very well for us and the dining area was perfect for the six of us. The living area was so comfortable and welcoming. The bedrooms are beautiful - gorgeous views and very comfortable beds. Joy is an excellent host - very responsive and helpful! We would love to return to Trysor cottage in the future.

Jessica Greenwood ,

We had a lovely stay and found some lovely beaches for our 7 month old pup! Trysor has everything you need for a perfect stay.

Kelly,

We had a lovely holiday staying at the beautiful Trysor Cottage. The cottage is very clean and well equipped. Penbryn beach is a must. We spent so much time there during our stay and watched the sunset most nights, with the kids and Jazz the dog!

Jill Barrie,

We had a wonderful stay a Trysor Holiday Cottage. Joy was a great host and was very helpful. The house was very clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. The location is also great and a very short drive straight down to Penbryn beach. We would highly recommend Trysor Holiday Cottage.

Morgan Jones ,

We have just had the most wonderful 10 days at Trysor. A superb cottage in a fab location, it is incredibly well equipped and dog friendly and a lovely welcome pack too ! There is so much to do in the area with outstanding beaches and coastal walking with one of the best beaches, Penbryn, just down the road from the cottage . The farm shop and deli in the village is lovely too. We haven’t enjoyed a holiday so much in ages. Thank you Joy x

Absolutely brilliant stay! Cottage was perfect, with the little extras like doggy treats and treats for us humans, Joy couldn’t be any more helpful.Ideal location for exploring, even ventured out in Storm Noa!

Catherine Simonds,

This was our first holiday away together with all 6 dogs, as you can imagine we were rather nervous about it. However, from start to finish Joy was amazing with how she helped with everything and all of the info she provided us with, which reassured me that a holiday all together was possible.

The cottage is just absolutely perfect for a holiday away with multiple dogs, and the welcome treats for both humans and doggies was fantastic! Everything you need to cook and clean is provided, which made life so much easier.

The location of the cottage is perfect also, we went on walks right from the door, we even walked with all 6 dogs to the closest dog beach, where we met other fellow dog lovers who were so lovely. We went on many adventures together, which included forest walks, a visit to the beautiful waterfalls, and we even discovered a secure dog field which had agility equipment in to tire the doggies out.

The log burner was amazing for the colder evenings, and the local shops sold big bags of wood which kept us all nice and snug as the sun went down each evening.

We will definitely be returning in the near future because we loved it so much.

Rev Marie Holmes,

A gem of a holiday home. We had a wonderful short stay and had everything we needed! It was a home from home for us and the dogs, spacious, clean, wonderfully laid out and presented, enclosed garden, peaceful and the dogs loved it too! It’s a fantastic base to explore the area and the beaches are fabulous. Joy is wonderful to deal with, friendly and helpful from start to finish and the app for the property is brilliant with everything you need about the home, area etc at your fingertips! Thank you Joy, it was wonderful! We shall be back and would recommend your home in a heartbeat! xx

Sam O’Sullivan,

We had a wonderful week away. Lovely spacious property in a fabulous location. We were so sad to come home. Lots of pretty places to visit and gorgeous beaches. Our dog poppy had an amazing time. We loved it so much that we are already planning our next visit. Highly recommend thank you Joy we had such a lovely time x

Naomi Channell ,

A lovely home from home, well needed break. Clean , well equipped house with a PERFECT location for our favourite beach ( penbryn)

Everyone was made to feel welcome with the ‘ welcome pack’ even our 4 labs ( thanks for the treats! ) and our 8 month old was well away with the toys / equipment that were left for him.

Definitely will be returning - thanks again!

Emma Spiers ,

A holiday made in heaven! Trysor is the ultimate holiday cottage. Incredibly well equipped, beautifully presented and has the perfect balance of practicality and luxury. With 2 large , rather hairy “floofs” the mix of wooden and tiled flooring made it easy to keep clean. The log burner in the lounge is perfect to snuggle up in front of with a good book or your favourite Netflix show. The garden ample and secure, perfect for the floofs to have a roam around independently and for us “hoomans” to enjoy a glass of wine on the pretty little bench.
Joy is amazing , and at the end of the phone ready to help if needed. The app is a godsend, easy to use and offers some fantastic ideas for days out. Penbryn beach is in walking distance and is idilic with its little coves and caves. ffynone falls is visually stunning a great dog walk and for general splashing. The nearby towns are beautiful Aberaeron , one of our favourites with it’s beautiful harbour , pretty coloured houses, riverside walks, yummy eateries and like everywhere in wales lovely friendly locals.

Kerrie garnham ,

Beautiful, clean and well-equipped cottage. Own secure garden - great for the dogs.

Hosts were more than helpful - from initial booking onwards. At the end of the phone if needed.

Great location for exploring the area, with lots of dog-friendly places to visit.

Highly recommended all round.

Robert Wilde ,

Certainly the best holiday cottage we've stayed in. Our dogs were made as welcome as we were with their own treats along with our lovely welcome pack. We love West Wales and Trysor is conveniently placed for both Ceredigion & Pembrokeshire just off the main road yet still so peaceful. Joy is an excellent host, phoning us whilst we were travelling to let us know we could check in earlier which was very welcome. The app is very helpful too with all the info in one place. I can't find any negatives at all. Amazing beaches, great places to eat and, luckily for us, smashing weather. Highly recommend Trysor & hope to go back.

Yvonne Finch,

What a lovely place to stay. Very nicely presented, well equipped home from home. The location is perfect, far enough away for peace and quiet yet close at the same time. Joy is very friendly, a great communicator and seems happy to suggest places to visit. Every beach we went to became my new fave beach. Mwnt was beautiful and some dolphins came to play as we were about to leave. Aberporth has everything, sand, rock pools to explore at low tide, lifeguards and a chip shop. The walk along the cliff top at Gwbert has such amazing views and a few small beaches you can go down onto, definitely recommend it. Would love to visit again

Lynsey Childs,

We had such a super stay! Every beach we went to was like discovering a beautiful, little gem! I can see why the cottage is called treasure! Stunning walks and amazing food recommendations! A perfect break!

Emma Graham ,

The most comfy beds ever ! Most equipped holiday cottage I have ever stayed in. Nice conservatory area to partition adults from children watching one of the many dvds on offer.
Lots of dvds, entertainment, music sound system, easy kitchen to navigate.
Location lends well to a choice of Tresaith /llangrannog /aberporth/penbryn beaches. Also not too far from mwnt /poppit sands . Spoilt for choice basically …

Lynne ,

Lovely comfy cottage , everything we needed , fab beds 💖 lovely location lots of pretty beaches and countryside , plenty of things to do , we would totally recommend it to our friends and family x

Diane Southgate,

Excellent home from home. Yes we wondered what we should bring for our stay. We need not have worried everything we could possibly need. We visited with our sister and brother in law and between us 5 dogs. 2 Labradors, 2 working cockers and a little 6 years old Westie who kept them in order 😊. A lovely bay just down the hill, with a lovely homely cafe. Just a few miles Aberporth around 6 mile away, with two sandy beaches one of which is dog friendly. Lots of local eateries and car parking near to the beach which only requires a donation to support maintaining the car park and village hall. Lovely coastal walks too. Highly recommend.

Jean & David Evans,

Excellent. Beautiful homely cottage of a high standard in a quiet location with good access to the beach. Host had put a lot of thought and detail into absolutely everything would need for a relaxing holiday. Lovely welcome pack and flowers on arrival. Plenty of dvds games and books for the children. Would highly recommend

Lovely well equipped cottage with everything you need in a beautiful quiet location. We really enjoyed our stay and are feeling very refreshed

Marianne Gaylor,

Lovely spacious and spotlessly clean cottage with excellent facilities. The location is ideal with local beach, coastal path, pub, cafe and excellent farm shop. Cardigan isn’t far with lovely shops and a great place called Catch of The Day for fresh fish and great lobster.
It’s a beautiful location, very peaceful and a perfect get away with or without dogs, ours felt very at home and settled in instantly. A lovely home from home.

Jo and Richard Cox,

We have just spent a few wonderfully sunny tranquil days at Trysor with our family and 3 dogs. Despite packing all but the kitchen sink we needn’t have worried as the cottage really does have everything needed and more. Spotlessly clean, homely, well set up for dogs and the owners are more than welcoming and accommodating. The local area is remote from busy life with a wealth of stunning scenery, spectacular beaches and cliff walks within a short drive. Perfect!

Sam,

Possibly one of the best cottages we have stayed in and we have stayed in a lot around the country; well equipped, spacious, clean and in an ideal location. There are beaches close by for walking the pooch or starting a coastal walk with Llangrannog Beach offering pubs, a café and pizza. We had a great week on foot and by car exploring the area.

Julian Loxton,

Stayed at Trysor for my birthday/anniversary in March ! The cottage on arrival was spotless and very welcoming! We have been to a quite a few self catering establishments and the showers always let them down but not at Trysor best shower by far!

The area was just great for us and my four furs who enjoyed the beaches which were clean and lots of sandy. The two local beaches had good facilities with toilets and friendly cafes, the pastries were lovely !

Laurette Griffiths,

A wonderful cottage we all loved it. So well equipped for preparing the odd meal, a lovely log burner for cold winter evenings, a great secure garden for the dogs to say good morning and goodnight and spotlessly clean.
The nearby beaches and coastal walks are splendid, the hosts recommendations for places to eat were excellent.
Everyone had a great New Year and we will all be back

Sean Baldock,

This is such a lovely clean, well presented, well laid out cottage. It has all mod cons! It is very spacious with a lovely big living room and add on conservatory. We had a week with our two lurchers here and we all had a blast.... the location is excellent for local walks and for great yomps along the coastal path, with lots of sea to play in. Everything was perfect.. highly recommend. Tim, Helen, Loki and Loulou

Helen Lee,

Our stay at Trysor was brilliant, couldn’t fault cottage 5*

Chris Sutcliffe ,

This was one of our favourite holiday cottages, couldn't fault it. Very well equipped and had everything we needed - was great to have an escape proof garden for our young spaniel too! Close to amazing beaches, Aberporth and Penbryn were our favourites. Our two dogs were made very welcome and have both absolutely loved their holiday as much as us humans. Cardigan Bay is a beautiful place and we'll definitely be back

Alison Gibson ,

What a wonderful cottage best we have stayed in so far fully equipped clean and welcoming with a lovely welcome pack for both humans and dogs. Ideally situated, able to drive short distances to visit some lovely places. Thank you both we have all had a lovely time and will be back asap

Rachel Pearse,

Thank you so much Joy, the 5 of us (plus Benji the dog) had a great holiday at Trysor cottage. Plenty of room for us all, but very cosy at the same time - a real home from home. The location is great and there a number of fantastic beaches only a short drive away.

Samantha Hewlett,

What an amazing gem of a cottage. Fantastic location for several beaches. The cottage is very clean and homely, with some nice touches along the way. Our dog Bert loved his stay and the garden is very secure for him to burn his last bit of energy after his beach runs.
The beds are extremely comfy and there's nothing better than waking up to sea views.
The owner Joy was fantastic from the moment we booked to arriving at the cottage. She was more than accommodating.

Carl Jackson,

What an amazing place! We were made to feel so welcome by Joy and appreciated all of the thoughtful gestures (flowers on arrival, local delicacies , doggy treats and more). The cottage really and truly has everything a family could need and this made holidaying so much easier. We honestly have never stayed anywhere quite so comfortable!
From booking to leaving, nothing was too much trouble and the comprehensive holiday info email included all you the information we needed. I would absolutely recommend this location and this cottage to anyone thinking of visiting the area. You are in for a treat. Thank you Joy from the Douglas’s and Sonny 🐶

Heidi Louise Douglas,

We have had a great stay. Beautiful location and the cottage has been perfect for us. Every little detail has been thought of. We had everything we needed and it really is a home from home and very comfortable. Our dog Monty couldn't have been made more welcome and finding our welcome pack on arrival was a lovely touch. We had a very hot week so it was fortunate that the stone cottage was perfect for keeping us and Monty cool. Just down the road at Penbryn, the mostly shaded walk from Penbryn toward Tresaith (lots of steps so not suitable for anyone with mobility issues), was perfect to keep him out of the heat during an early morning or late evening walk and we even spotted dolphins! Great place for exploring such a beautiful part of the country.

Tracy Collingridge ,

We had a lovely time, the cottage is absolutely amazing with gorgeous views too. Couldn't fault anything, attention to detail is 5 star. Nellie enjoyed herself too. 🥰🥰 x
